Welcome to Temple B’nai Sholom
At Temple B’nai Sholom, we call ourselves a kehillah kedoshah—a sacred community. This begins with the simple truth that every story here matters. Whether you grew up Orthodox, discovered Judaism as an adult, married into our tradition, or are still exploring, there is room for you at our table.
As the oldest synagogue in continuous use in Alabama, we’re proud of our deep roots—and just as proud of the warmth, creativity, and openness that define our community today. We celebrate Jewish life through Shabbat and holiday services, learning and music, acts of loving kindness, and the joy of being together.
Wherever you’re coming from, we hope you’ll find meaning, connection, and a true sense of belonging here.
