Jewish Holidays at Temple B'nai Sholom
The rhythm of Jewish life flows through our calendar, with sacred days that invite reflection, celebration, learning, and connection. At Temple B’nai Sholom, we embrace the richness of each holiday in a way that is warm, welcoming, and meaningful for all ages.

High Holy Days
Our community comes together in sacred gathering for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Services blend traditional liturgy and reflective teachings with accessible, inspiring music. Children’s services, study sessions, and opportunities for quiet contemplation help make these days spiritually deep and personally resonant.

Sukkot
The joy of Sukkot begins as we come together to build and decorate our community sukkah—children add handmade touches while adults help bring the structure to life. Throughout the week, we gather in the sukkah to shake the lulav and etrog, share meals, and enjoy the beauty of nature, tradition, and togetherness.

Simchat Torah
With music, dancing, and laughter, we rejoice in the Torah as a living, ongoing story. Children and adults celebrate together as we unroll the scroll, mark the end and beginning of our reading cycle, and honor our Torah readers and learners.

Hanukkah
Light fills our sanctuary and social hall as we gather for a festive Shabbat celebration. We share a community menorah lighting, latkes, music, and laughter—with something fun for every generation.

Purim
Costumes, hamantaschen, and plenty of silliness fill the building for our Purim carnival and spiel. Families come for fun; adults stay for the laughs—and maybe a l’chaim or two.

Passover
Our second-night community Seder brings together members, friends, and guests to retell the story of liberation. With singing, storytelling, and shared ritual, we journey from slavery to freedom around the table.

Yizkor Services
We gather for Yizkor—on Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, Passover, and Shavuot—to remember loved ones, share their stories, and honor the ways they continue to shape our lives.
